Why Your Organization Should Be Listed in the
Case Management Resource Guide

Case Management Resource Guide The most comprehensive healthcare directory in print & on the Internet

The Case Management Resource Guide is a unique directory of healthcare providers and product manufacturers used by case managers and provider contracting professionals. Thousands of healthcare organizations list their services in the Case Management Resource Guide each year. Why? Because the Resource Guide offers a proven, easy and inexpensive way to attract patient referrals and contracting opportunities.

The case manager's "Bible." Today, almost all managed care plans and many healthcare provider organizations use case managers. Patients needing homecare, rehab, long-term care -- almost any potentially high cost service -- are managed by a case manager. Case managers make referrals for individual patients, and participate in provider contracting. While some case managers are local, others are located hundreds of miles from the patients they serve. Because they can't possibly know the providers in all areas they serve, case managers rely on the Resource Guide to do their jobs.

Contracting & network developers use the Resource Guide. Inclusion in the Resource Guide will also increase your managed care contracting opportunities. The Resource Guide is used by the contracting departments of virtually all health plans in the country, as well as by network developers and provider organizations involved in subcontracting.

Big exposure at a little price. With a guaranteed minimum circulation of 20,000, and pass-around readership estimated at 50,000, the Guide offers significant exposure at a low price. If you act before the publishing deadlines, your listing in the Resource Guide can contain detailed information about your services, credentials, staff, disease management programs, or other services that distinguish you from your competition.

Free listing on CMRG.com. The most important reason to list is to harness the marketing power of the Internet. Every listing in the print edition also appears on the online version of the Resource Guide (www.cmrg.com) at no additional charge! As the largest free-access healthcare directory on the Web, this award-winning site has significantly expanded the Guide's audience among managed care decision-makers and healthcare professionals, and even among individual patients and families.

You don't have to have your own Web site to benefit from an Internet listing. A listing on the Resource Guide Web site can generate phone and mail inquiries. If you do have a Web site, you have the option of including a hyperlink that will send users right to it. You can even update your listing during the year for a nominal charge of $100. Your Internet listing will be published on the Resource Guide Web site by the end of the next month after we receive your listing, as well as in the next print edition.

Click here to see how the Guide works: www.cmrg.com. Currently receiving over 750,000 per month, the Guide has been featured by several search engines views as a "hot new site." As you probably know, the power of the Web is its ability to uncover audiences you can't reach with your other marketing methods.

Frequently asked questions about the
Case Management Resource Guide

We serve a very local market. Does the Resource Guide make sense for us? Organizations that provide case management or control contracting decisions for your local patients may be located far away. The Resource Guide is an easy and inexpensive way to reach these decision-makers, as well as referral sources in your local market who use the Guide. Also, you never know who will find you on the Internet Resource Guide.

Our referrals come from doctors and hospitals. Why should we care about case managers? Over 70% of privately insured people belong to some form of managed care plan. Increasingly, these plans control referrals through case managers. Even if a call comes from the physician or family, a case manager may be the real decision-maker.

We have contracts with managed care plans. Why do we need to market to case managers? Although the Resource Guide was originally developed for case managers, it is now used extensively for contracting and network development. The Guide's circulation includes the contracting departments of virtually every health plan in the country as well as case managers. However, any managed care marketing strategy should target both contracts and case managers. A contract doesn't mean you'll see referrals if a health plan's case managers prefer your competitor.

Who lists in the Resource Guide? The Resource Guide is effective for both local providers and national companies. About 90% of national and regional homecare, rehabilitation, behavioral health, and long-term care companies list in the Guide, along with thousands of local providers. See the Table of Contents above for a complete list.

How is the Resource Guide organized? The Guide is published as four regional volumes, each covering one quarter of the country. Each volume contains all sections shown in the Table of Contents.

Is display advertising available in the Resource Guide? Yes. Click here or call (800) 784-2332 for details.

What is the Resource Guide's circulation? The Guide has a guaranteed minimum distribution of 20,000 copies with pass-around readership of approximately 50,000 case managers and other professionals at:

Insurers & TPAs Blue Cross Blue Shield Plans
HMOs & PPOs Hospital Discharge Planners
Worker's Comp Firms Employee Assistance Programs
Case Management Firms Medical Equipment Dealers
IPAs & Physician Group Practices Rehab & Subacute Providers
Homecare Providers Information & Referral Agencies

There are other directories. What's special about the Case Management Resource Guide? The Resource Guide is by far the most widely used directory among managed care decision-makers because it was designed specifically for their needs. No other directory offers the Resource Guide's combination of comprehensiveness, detail and currency. And, no other directory also offers you a free Internet presence.

Why are IPAs and PHOs important? These emerging provider organizations are assuming risk for homecare and other ancillary services traditionally controlled by health plans. IPAs (Independent Practice Associations), PHOs (Physician Hospital Organizations) and integrated delivery systems use the Resource Guide for contracting and case management.
