Lifestyle changes may curb mobility risk in type 2 diabetes
A study in the New England Journal of Medicine revealed that a 1% decrease in body weight may reduce the risk of mobility problems by more than 7%, while a 1% increase in fitness level appeared to lower the risk by 1% to 2%. The findings suggest that lifestyle changes may benefit mobility in older, overweight type 2 diabetes patients, researchers noted.
