Analysis of data from the National Survey of Family Growth showed a decline in the number of young women who received gynecological and obstetric care in the U.S. Fewer public clinics serving poor women, higher unemployment and a lack of health insurance are among the factors that could have caused the drop, study authors said. Researchers said that additional care provisions under the health care reform law could increase access to
reproductive health services.
