Happy Valentine’s Day. This is the day we get to show our families, friends and colleagues how much we love them. To show how much you “Like us” take a minute and “Like Us,” “Join Us” and “Follow Us” on our social media outlets:
Facebook,
Google+,
LinkedIn and
Twitter!
Another way we are able to show our love for case managers is to recognize them through our webinars, through articles in Case In Point, and in our Awards Program.
Then on February 29 at 12:00 p.m., the Case In Point Webinar series looks at how case managers are learning how to interpret the alphabet soup that comprises new reimbursement from the federal auditing bodies impacting the financial status of healthcare providers. Gather your team and plan to attend the
RACs, MACs, MICs, QICs, ZPICs: Know What They Mean and Limit Your Financial Risk webinar if this is an area of impact for you.
On May 9, 2012, we will gather in Washington, D.C., at the National Press Club where we publicly recognize each finalist and choose the winners from each category. The
Awards Luncheon is a special event where teams come together to celebrate their work and network with others who are also doing important work. If you have been to one of our awards luncheon, you know it is a special event. If not, make this the year you attend.
Our
luncheon keynote speaker this year is Alfred (Al) Lewis, founder and president of the Disease Management Purchasing Consortium International. Al will use his humor and nontraditional style to share his insights on the topic reporting outcomes and “Why Nobody Believes the Numbers...or Should.” He will provide tips as to how all can better demonstrate the work being done so it is recognized, valued and understood.
In closing, share a kind word with your colleagues and time to be with those you love. As we all know life is short and it is the little things like a family dinner, a glass of wine together or a call to a family member or friend you have not talked to for a while.
On behalf of the Dorland Team, Happy Valentine’s Day.
