Anne Llewellyn joined Dorland Health, a Contexo Media Company (formerly Dorland Healthcare Information), as editor in chief of case management products in March 2006. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Llewellyn was co-founder and owner of Professional Resources In Management Education Inc., a national accredited health care educational company, from 1994 to early 2006. In her role with PRIME®, Llewellyn served as vice president/secretary, director of operations and director of quality. She was responsible for operations, human resources, accreditation, compliance activities, and quality improvement for the organization.
Llewellyn is a leader in the field of health care as a critical care nurse, catastrophic case manager and educator. Ms. Llewellyn earned her associate degree in nursing from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1978. She completed her master’s degree in training and development from St. Francis University in Joliet, Ill., in 2006. She received her bachelor’s degree in health care administration from Barry University in Miami, Fla., in 1995. In addition, she holds national credentials as a board-certified registered nurse in case management from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a certified case manager through the Commission for Case Manager Certification (CCMC) and a certified rehabilitation registered nurse (CRRN) through the American Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN).
Llewellyn is co-author of Case Manager Review and Resource, originally published in 2001 and updated in 2008 by the Institute for Research, Education and Consultation (IREC) and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Ms. Llewellyn has written and lectured nationally on topics related to continuing medical education, patient safety, quality of care and medical management.
Llewellyn is a past president of the Case Management Society of America (CMSA) and continues to be an active member of the local South Florida Case Management Chapter. Ms. Llewellyn was a founding member of The Center for Practical Health Reform.
