Jerry Reeves, MD

Dr. Jerry Reeves is Principal of Health Innovations LLC, offering health benefits, wellness, and health management consulting services for health plan sponsors and coalitions. He is a Director of Health Insight, the Quality Improvement Organization for Utah and Nevada, and he is Medical Director of the Nevada Business Coalition for Health Improvement.

As Principal of Health Innovations LLC, Dr. Jerry Reeves provides medical consulting services and implements targeted interventions for union health and welfare benefit plans, employers, business coalitions, and health care consumers to achieve better efficiency, effectiveness, and value of health care services. Dr. Reeves is the former Chief Medical Officer of Hotel Employees and Restaurant Employees International Union (H.E.R.E.I.U.) Welfare Fund offering multi-employer health insurance coverage for 90,000 eligible employees and their family members.

Dr. Reeves previously served as Chairman of WorldDoc Inc., Chief Medical Officer of Humana Inc. and Sierra Health Services Inc., and as Chief of Clinical Medicine at USAF Headquarters in Europe. He served two terms on the Board of Health of the State of Nevada. Dr. Reeves is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, and in Medical Management. He has authored more than 50 publications, been an editor for three professional journals, and served on the faculty of three medical schools. Dr. Reeves’s specialties include Medical Management, Healthcare Incentives Innovations, Pediatrics, Pediatric Hematology-Oncology. He received his M.D from Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas.

Archelle Georgiou, MD

Dr. Archelle Georgiou is a well-recognized physician leader who combines her deep knowledge of clinical medicine with a breadth of experience in business and healthcare administration to pursue her passion for simplifying the healthcare system. As head of Georgiou Consulting LLC, her focus is using the power of language, data and technology to translate complex medical information into meaningful health care messages for a broad spectrum of audiences and clients. She works with large health care companies to crystallize their health care outcomes into meaningful and differentiating messages that drive growth and profitability.

As a practicing physician and as a corporate managed care executive, Dr. Georgiou learned and leveraged the value and importance of simple and compelling communication to influence impacting patients' personal health care behaviors as well as driving health care purchasing decisions and business growth.  In addition, Dr. Georgiou helps consumers make better health care decisions. MyHealthCompare is a free consumer website she has developed that that makes it easy for people to rank and compare hospitals.

Amir Bacchus, MD

Dr. Amir Bacchus is co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of HealthCare Partners of Nevada.  In 2000, he was named “One of the Best Doctors in Las Vegas” by Las Vegas Life Magazine.  Dr. Bacchus received his M.D. from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1993 and completed his residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Mich., where he was named Resident of the Year for both 1993-94 and 1995-96. 

In 2003, he received an M.B.A. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and belongs to the American Medical Association, Michigan State Medical Society, Wayne County Medical Society, American College of Physicians and Society of Hospital Medicine (founder of Nevada Regional Chapter). He also serves on the Spring Valley Hospital Medical Executive Committee.

Carol Groves, RN, MPA

Carol Groves is the senior director of Continuing Care for Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States. In her capacity, Carol is responsible for ensuring compliance with Kaiser Permanente’s quality and service standards for federal, state, local and accreditation agencies, as well as providing safe reliable transitions of care to Kaiser Permanente members and patients from one level to another.

In 2001, Carol joined Kaiser Permanente as the senior director of Utilization Management. Following that, she served as the director of the Senior Services Program for 6 years, where she successfully implemented and led the efforts of Kaiser Permanente’s guided care case management, live safe, and palliative care programs. Carol successfully brought the Senior Services Department through multiple awards and recognitions.

Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, Carol served in various nursing clinical positions. Her undergraduate degree is from Texas Women’s University and she has a master’s degree in public administration from NYU.

Ellen Aliberti, RN, CCM, MS

Ellen Aliberti, RN, CCM, MS, is a seasoned managed care leader that has over 25 years of case management experience within in managed care organizations. She has an extensive background in clinical process improvement and has led many interdisciplinary teams focused on developing programs and pathways directed at enhancing the effectiveness and quality of patient care transitions. She is the founding president of the Case Management Association of Las Vegas and an Advisory Board member of the Practice Change Fellows a national organization focused on mentoring new leaders in geriatric care. Currently she is working with HealthCare Partners of Nevada, as the Clinical Educator for the organization.

Eric C. Rackow, MD

Dr. Rackow has more than 35 years experience in healthcare and currently serves as president and CEO at SeniorBridge and Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine.  He is also the immediate past president of NYU Hospitals Center.  

Dr. Rackow is a national authority on critical care medicine, complex care management, and healthcare delivery systems and is frequently quoted in the media on topics related to seniors and healthcare reform.  At NYU, Dr. Rackow was responsible for ensuring the quality of medical services and promoting continued excellence in patient care, medical education, and clinical research. Previously, he served as Chief Medical Officer at NYU Hospitals Center and Chairman of the Department of Medicine at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York.  

Dr. Rackow is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Weil Institute of Critical Care Medicine, dedicated to education and research in caring for patients with severe illness or injury. Additionally, he is fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Critical Care Medicine, American College of Cardiology, and American College of Chest Physicians. Recently, he received the distinguished award of Mastership of the American College of Physicians.  He is the author of 184 articles and 40 chapters on the care of patients with complex medical problems.

Keith Parker, MBA

Keith Parker is the Nevada HIT Operations director for HealthInsight. Mr. Parker is responsible for managing Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center activities in Nevada as part of a bi-state team supporting both Nevada and Utah. Mr. Parker Joined HealthInsight in 2006 upon retiring from the military. He has over 25 years experience in healthcare administration. His area of expertise is in HIT implementation and use, along with change management methodology and implementation in healthcare. He holds an undergraduate degree in business administration, a minor in economics and an MBA from Saint Martin’s University.

Patty Scott, MSNA, RN, RHIA, CPHQ, CPMSM
 
Patty K. Scott is Vice President, Quality/Case/Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance for IASIS Healthcare Corporation. Patty has over 28 years of experience in the healthcare field, dedicating those years to the disciplines of nursing; quality, risk, and case management; health information management; medical staff credentialing; and regulatory compliance. Patty is a licensed registered nurse and has attained an advanced degree in nursing administration. She complements her nursing degrees uniquely with a degree in health information management and is a Registered Health Information Administrator. Patty is Board Certified in Healthcare Quality and Medical Staff Management/Credentialing.

Patty has served as the Board Chairman for the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ) certification board and was instrumental in developing the content for the national and international examinations for board certification in healthcare quality. In addition, Patty has been a Board member of the Quality Assurance Section of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and served as a governor’s appointment to the Medical/Legal Screening Panel for the State of Nevada.

Cara Robinson, RN, BSN, CCM

Cara Robinson is the vice president of Medicaid services at Qualis Health, a position in which she provides executive oversight of all care management operations and contract administration activities for the company’s Medicaid sector clients. Ms. Robinson is a nurse executive with more than 30 years of substantial experience in the areas of healthcare administration, care management, and managed care.

Ms. Robinson has a diverse nursing background that includes government and public delivery systems, healthcare insurance, and health maintenance organizations. She is a skilled negotiator, project manager, and budget manager with a proven ability to influence and motivate others to improve quality, performance, and service outcomes. Ms. Robinson holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, is a Certified Case Manager, and is a licensed registered nurse in the State of Washington. Ms. Robinson is also a member of the Case Management Society of America and the Washington Case Management Association. In 2010, Ms. Robinson was the winner of the Dorland Health People Awards for the Case/Care Manager-Leadership category.

Selena Bolotin, LICSW, MSW

Selena Bolotin is a licensed clinical social worker who possesses more than 30 years of clinical and professional experience in the healthcare arena. She is currently Qualis Health’s care transitions project manager, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization’s sub-national contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) to reduce unnecessary hospital readmissions. Prior to joining Qualis Health, Ms. Bolotin held a variety of leadership positions at Providence Hospice & Home Care of Snohomish County and Stevens Healthcare. Ms. Bolotin earned both her Master of Science in Social Work and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Social Work from California State University, Sacramento. She is currently the president of the Washington State Chapter of the Society for Social Work Leaders in Healthcare, and she is also a member of the Washington State Behavioral Health Inpatient Association.
